2.12 Onboard Emergencies, Storms and Teamwork: The Most Dramatic Cruise of My Career (So Far)

Welcome aboard, Sailors! In this episode of Keeping Afloat, I’m back with one of the most intense cruises yet aboard the Oceanic Euphoria. Not only did we face heavy seas and a jammed stabilizer, but a serious onboard emergency put our crew to the test. 😬🌪️ Tune in as I recount: • Navigating through 15-foot waves, with guests holding on for dear life 🏠🌊 • The Oceanic Euphoria being delayed by two days due to severe weather 😱 • A crew alert and the chaos that followed during a near-general emergency 🚨 • How a single piece of luggage jammed our stabilizer and nearly derailed our journey 🎒⚙️ • An unexpected audit from brand inspectors that had me (and the crew) on edge 😰 It wasn’t all storms and stress, though! My parents were sailing with me, and let’s just say their presence made this cruise even more memorable. Plus, my new Marketing and Revenue Manager, Audrey, turned into a superstar while dealing with a surprise promotion.
